If you have read PCYC Queensland’s Annual Report, you would have met Cate. From her younger years, Cate attended PCYC Queensland’s vacation care. In her teens, Kate took up karate obtaining a brown belt and also took part in the State Youth Leadership Program held a Bornhoffen on the Gold Coast hinterland. While at University, Cate worked in PCYC Queensland’s vacation care and when she became a mum, even her children became members of PCYC Queensland attending various activities just like their mum did 20 years earlier.
Today, Cate is one of five Zone Managers with PCYC Queensland where she works with Branch Managers, sharing her life-long passion and knowledge for youth development across South-East Queensland. And that is not the end of Cate’s amazing story; Cate’s parents are volunteers at PCYC Ashmore. As Cate said, “PCYC Queensland has always been part of my life and now I feel I have come full circle”.
