Sophie lives in Hervey Bay and is six years old; but she will be quick to tell you she is almost seven!
In 2015, Sophie’s mum, Belinda, was looking for a program where both mother and daughter could not only spend some time together, but also make new friends. That’s when Belinda discovered PCYC Hervey Bay’s Kindy Gym, and that’s where Sophie’s PCYC journey began; swinging, climbing, rolling, tumbling, running and of course laughing with her little peers, while qualified instructors looked after the children every step of the way.
Due to work commitments, Sophie’s parents then enrolled her into the branch’s Vacation Care program. During the holidays, Sophie constantly talked about where the excursions they went on and where they were going and of course all the family have a vast collection of arts and crafts, cards and decorations Sophie has lovingly created over time.
14 months ago Sophie began school, initially in Prep and has now graduated to the BIG school as a grade oner! Today, Sophie regularly attends before and after school care, but at home she is continually keeping one an eye on the calendar and another eye on the fridge for when the next vacation care program is hung up.
